Central decor element (Model 1178) STL

The central decorative element features strict bilateral symmetry and is executed as a bas-relief. The composition is based on divergent scrolls forming S-shaped volutes, supplemented by stylized acanthus leaves and a central cartouche with vertical fluting. Prototypes of such ornamental compositions utilizing rocaille motifs and scrolls were actively employed by Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier, the premier court painter and architect to Louis XV, who in the 1730s established the aesthetics of the Rococo style in the interior decoration of the Palace of Versailles. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, ceiling coffered panels, wall panels, and home interior decoration.
