The central decorative element "Vase with Flowers" (Model 1146) is a low-relief composition featuring bilateral symmetry. At the center is a fluted stylized vase from which a floral ornament emerges, consisting of flower buds, acanthus leaves, and symmetrically diverging scrolls transitioning into festoons. The motif of the vase as a vessel of life and fertility was extensively utilized in neoclassical interior decoration, and its large-scale introduction into French architectural practice during the reign of Louis XVI is associated with architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, who employed similar vase reliefs for the state rooms of Versailles and the Petit Trianon.
