The decorative element «Cartush Flower» (Model 1965) is a symmetrical bas-relief structured around a bilateral axis of symmetry. The composition combines the features of a stylized cartouche and floral motifs: the central vertical element is flanked by symmetrically diverging volutes and stylized acanthus leaves transitioning into curved festoons. Historically, such hybrid forms of cartouches with vegetal shells gained widespread use during the Baroque and Rococo periods, when French architect and decorator Gilles-Marie Oppenord popularized fluid, shell-derived ornament, although strict symmetry traces back to the classicist prototypes of the Italian Renaissance architecture.
