The decorative element «Cartouche with Lily» (Model 1907) is executed in high relief technique using bilateral axial symmetry. The compositional center is a stylized lily flower (fleur-de-lis) placed on a base of paired volutes, from which symmetrical profiled acanthus leaves extend in a diverging fan. Historically, the motif of the heraldic lily became widespread in European architecture and decorative arts starting from the 12th century under French King Louis VII, who made it the main element of the royal coat of arms, although stylized images of similar three-petaled flowers are found earlier in the reliefs of ancient Babylon and on the capitals of Minoan columns in Knossos. The decor is used for decorating furniture facades, door portals, wall panels, and interior elements.
The 3D model is presented in STL format and optimized for CNC milling machines. The digital relief is intended for automated manufacturing and is adapted for milling from solid wood of hardwood and softwood, MDF, model plastic, and soft stone.
