Decor element central "Sink with leaves" (Model 1188) STL

The central decorative element is structured on bilateral axial symmetry. The compositional center is a scallop shell (rocaille) framed by scrolled volutes, from which stylized acanthus leaves and branches with laurel leaves and berries extend symmetrically to both sides in low bas-relief. The motif of the shell combined with acanthus foliage became widespread in early classicism and baroque architecture; specifically, Jules Hardouin-Mansart actively employed this symbiosis in the decoration of the Grand Trianon at Versailles in the late 17th century, establishing the shell as a core cartouche element. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, ceiling coffers, wall panels, and interior architectural elements.
