The frieze "Flowers" (Model 1108) is a linear ornament with bilateral symmetry, based on the rhythmic alternation of circular medallions, stylized five-petal flowers, and plant shoots transitioning into volutes and simplified palmettes. The relief is multi-level and low-profile, bounded at the top and bottom by smooth profiled moldings. Similar ribbon-like floral ornaments with geometric framing were widely used in the interior decoration of the early Italian Renaissance, particularly in the Renaissance frizes of the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, where architectural framing first began to rigidly structure natural motifs. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, wall panels, and interior frizes.
