Decor element "Ornament with shell" (Model 1145) STL

The decorative element "Ornament with shell" (Model 1145) is a symmetrical relief cartouche featuring a bilateral axial composition. The central section contains a stylized shell (rocaille) topped with radial ribs, from which volutes and carved acanthus leaves extend symmetrically to form a horizontally elongated frieze. The shell motif, which became foundational to the Rococo style, was first extensively applied in early 18th-century French architecture through Jules-Hardouin Mansart’s work in the Hôtel de Soubise, where the rocaille replaced heavy Baroque trophies. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, wall panels, and cornices.
