The decorative element "Plant composition" (Model 1143) is a relief frieze featuring an asymmetric composition based on dynamic volutes, stylized acanthus leaves, and central rosettes with floral motifs. The ornament is executed in high relief with deep detailing. Similar continuous ribbon-like floral ornaments (arabesques and grotesques) became widely popular during the Italian Renaissance, when 15th-century architects rediscovered the Roman frescoes of Nero's Domus Aurea and adapted them for woodcarving and stucco.
