Decor element "Three ways" (Model 1096) is a bas-relief composition with three-sided radial symmetry, formed by volutes diverging from the center and stylized plant elements terminating in scrolls. Such a tripartite spatial division scheme dates back to early Christian and Byzantine ornamentation, where the motif of triplicity symbolized the triune structure of the universe, frequently used in stone and wood carving on altar screens and basilica portals of the 6th century.
