Decor "Kartush Lev" (Model 1952) STL

The decorative element «Kartush Lev» (Model 1952) is a symmetrical oval cartouche featuring a bilateral vertical axis of symmetry. The central composition consists of a bas-relief depicting a lion mask with an open, fanged maw, framed by a profiled ring that transitions at the top into decorative volutes and stylized acanthus leaves. The framing is complemented by floral garlands and festoons. The motif of the lion mask (mascaron) combined with a cartouche became widespread in the architecture of 16th-century Italian Mannerism, notably employed by architect Giulio Romano in the decoration of the Palazzo Te in Mantua as a symbol of strength and portal protection. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, ceiling coffers, wall panels, and interior decoration.
