The decorative element is based on bilateral axial symmetry and forms a vertically oriented oval cartouche framed by a relief molding with festoons. The central area contains a convex smooth lens supplemented by symmetrical scrolls and stylized leaves. The lateral parts of the ornament develop into symmetrical acanthus shoots terminating in volutes. Similar cartouches framed by plant elements and festoons became widespread in interior decoration during the French Regency period and early Rococo, specifically in the design of mirror frames and wall paneling (boiserie) in Parisian private mansions (hôtels particuliers) during the first third of the 18th century according to designs by architect Gilles-Marie Oppenord. Suitable for decorating furniture facades, door portals, ceiling coffers, wall panels, and home interior decoration.
The digital 3D model is provided in STL format and is intended for relief manufacturing on CNC milling machines. The relief is optimized for toolpath generation when working with solid wood, MDF, modeling plastic, or soft stone.
