The decorative element «Ornament — Shell» (Model 1918) is a relief composition featuring bilateral symmetry. The central portion comprises a stylized shell motif accompanied by acanthus leaves and symmetrically diverging volutes extending into herbal scrolls. While the shell motif (rocaille) achieved widespread application in European architecture and decorative arts during the second quarter of the 18th century under Louis XV, defining the Rococo style, this aquatic motif was first systematically utilized by Italian Mannerist architects in the 16th century for the ornamentation of grottoes. The relief is applied for decorating furniture facades, door portals, wall paneling, and mantelpieces.
The file is a digital 3D model in STL format intended for CNC milling machines. The relief geometry is optimized for high-precision machining when working with solid hardwood and softwood, MDF, modeling plastic, or architectural stone.
