Decor «Rosette Flower 6 sheets» (Model 1962) is a circular symmetrical rosette featuring a central radial structure composed of six petals with defined longitudinal flutes and a rounded central core. Similar geometric six-petal motifs (hexapetals) were extensively used in the architectural ornamentation of Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as solar symbols, and later became widespread in the decoration of European medieval manuscripts and Gothic stone reliefs of the Île-de-France cathedrals.
