"Scroll Decor" (Model 1017) STL

The decorative element "Scroll decor" (Model 1017) is a relief composition featuring bilateral axial symmetry, based on paired volutes and stylized plant-like scrolls. The central part of the ornament is formed by twisted spiral elements transitioning into smooth S-shaped lines with accentuated teardrop terminals. This motif of the spiral scroll originates from ancient Greek architecture, where the volute was first documented in the Ionic order of temples in the 6th century BC as a structural and decorative culmination of the capital. During the Italian Renaissance, the architect Giacomo da Vignola systematized the proportions of volutes in his treatises, establishing their use as a universal connecting element within the classical architectural orders.
