"River Mermaid" (Model 2009) STL

The carved narrative panel is a relief composition enclosed within an ornamented frame featuring classical floral and scroll elements. The central section of the relief depicts a mermaid with detailed anatomy, seated on the curved trunk of a fallen tree above a river surface. The character features long wavy hair, a wreath of aquatic vegetation, and a scaled fish tail wrapped around the branch. The background displays a river landscape with reed thickets, water lilies, and silhouettes of coastal trees. In Slavic mythology, mermaids (mavkas or navkas) were traditionally regarded as spirits of bodies of water and fields closely connected with flora and fertility forces, with branches of trees leaning over water commonly depicted as their preferred dwelling place. The model is intended for creating thematic interior panels, decoration of play areas, children's rooms, or collectible decor.

The digital file is a three-dimensional model in STL format, optimized for relief machining on CNC milling machines. The relief is adapted for milling on solid wood, laminated boards, or MDF using standard software (ArtCAM, Mach3, NC Studio). The mesh geometry also enables the model to be utilized for 3D printing (SLA/FDM) using polymeric resins and plastics.
