Baroque arch frame (model 6265) STL

The Baroque arch frame (Model 6265) is a vertically oriented rectangular piece featuring a pointed arched crown. The ornamental composition follows Baroque principles of surface structuring. The upper terminal (header) features a central ribbed shell element (rocaille), symmetrically flanked by volutes and stylized acanthus leaves that transition into the lateral molding. The vertical side profiles are decorated with symmetrical scrolls, ovals, and floral shoots. The lower rail includes a central circular rosette surrounded by bead molding, supported by divergent volutes and acanthus leaves. Historically, the evolution of such frames is associated with the proliferation of large cast and mercury-silvered mirrors in France and Venice during the 17th and 18th centuries, when mirror glass became an independent architectural and decorative interior object requiring heavy carved framing to conceal joints and display the owner's status.
