Baroque frame (model 6208) STL

The frame features a complex geometric shape with a central polygonal (hexagonal) aperture enclosed within a profiled inner moulding. The ornament structure is built upon Baroque stylistic principles: the crest and the lower section are decorated with symmetrically diverging volutes, cartouches, and relief scrolls, which transition along the sides into stylized acanthus leaves and floral shoots. Historically, large-scale Baroque mirror frames became widespread in the second half of the 17th century when advancements in manufacturing allowed for the casting of large-format mirror plates, necessitating massive carved wooden frames to conceal joints and enhance the decorative impact in ceremonial interiors.
