The deep frame "Flora" (Model 6054) is a rectangular structure with a pronounced profile and a deep inner bevel. The ornamental composition is based on a natural herbal pattern featuring stylized acanthus leaves, scroll volutes, and plant shoots symmetrically distributed along the perimeter. The corner zones are emphasized by large floral overlays with fan-shaped elements, forming a completed architectural framing. This type of deep profiled frame became widespread during the Baroque and Classicism periods, when massive framing served the function of spatially separating a painting or mirror from the wall, creating a perspective effect. Historically, the development of deep wooden moldings was associated with the spread of large sheet mirrors in the 17th and 18th centuries, which required a rigid supporting structure to prevent glass deformation.
