The frame "Glass" (Model 6149) is a vertically oriented structure of a complex geometric shape, tapering downwards and resembling the silhouette of a goblet, featuring smooth curves and slightly flattened lateral sides. The upper section (crest) is decorated with developed symmetrical volutes diverging from a central element and terminating in scrolls at the edges. The lower section features a similar, scaled-down element with scrolls. In the history of framing, non-standard configurations deviating from rectangles or ovals—including vase and glass silhouettes—gained prominence during the Baroque and Rococo periods, when frames evolved from mere borders into independent spatial objects integrated into the wall paneling and boiserie of 17th- and 18th-century French interiors. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
The digital 3D model is provided in STL format and is optimized for CNC milling. The relief is adapted for machining on solid wood, MDF, and modeling plastics using equipment controlled via NC Studio or Mach3. Toolpath generation for the milling process can be performed in ArtCAM and compatible CAD/CAM software.
