Frame «Rocale» (model 6181) STL

The «Rocaille» frame (Model 6181) is a rectangular construction featuring an arched inner opening and a prominent central crest. The ornamental composition is based on symmetrical scrolls, volutes, and stylized plant motifs characteristic of the Rococo style. The upper central section features a vertical floral finial flanked by diverging C-scrolls, while the lower segments of the arch incorporate circular rosette elements with radial petal structures. Historically, frames and decorative elements in the rocaille style gained prominence in France during the second quarter of the 18th century under Louis XV, replacing heavy Baroque forms with lighter, shell-derived asymmetrical motifs that defined the interior decoration of French châteaux and mirror galleries. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
