Oval frame «Rococo» (model 6275) STL

The frame features an oval inner field with a developed asymmetric ornament in the Rococo style. The composition is based on S-shaped and C-shaped scrolls intertwined with rocaillez, stylized shells, and acanthus leaf elements. The upper crest (pediment) and the lower section are symmetrically accented with central shell cartouches and diverging curls, forming a complex silhouette. During the reign of Louis XV in France, such frames for mirrors and paintings were often crafted from stucco or carved wood with subsequent gilding, wherein craftsmen sought to completely conceal the right angles and symmetrical rigidity characteristic of Baroque constructions.
