Rectangular frame «Frame with headband» (Model 6164) STL

The rectangular frame model 6164 features a strict basic profile geometry complemented by an elaborated decorative headpiece (cresting). The upper composition is symmetrical and incorporates a central shield-shaped cartouche surrounded by plant volutes, scrolls, and acanthus leaves, topped with a palmette along the axis of symmetry. The lateral parts of the headpiece consist of sweeping floral shoots. Such prominent crestings became widespread in framing practices during the 17th and 18th centuries, when large mirrors and formal portraits were integrated into interiors as independent architectural panels, with the upper cartouche serving as the visual dominant of the entire construction. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.

The digital 3D model is provided in STL format and optimized for CNC milling machines. The relief is adapted for machining in solid wood, MDF, or model board using end and ball-nose cutters.
