The rectangular frame «Arch» (Model 6194) features an arched upper section and vertical side pillars transitioning into a rectangular base. The frame profile is decorated with a classical egg-and-dart (ionics) ornament consisting of alternating ovoid elements and fluting framed by smooth rolls. The lower corners are detailed with rounded elements featuring volute-like transitions. Historically, arched frames and mirrors became widespread during the periods of Classicism and Empire style, when architectural motifs of antique triumphal arches and window openings were actively translated into furniture and interior objects to create visual perspective and symmetry.
