Rectangular frame «Baroque» (model 6228) STL

The rectangular frame «Baroque» (Model 6228) is a three-dimensional rectangular relief featuring a symmetrical composition in the European Baroque style. The frame profile consists of a smooth inner molding and a wide decorative frieze filled with relief ornamentation. The center of both the upper and lower sections features accented cartouches with shells (rocaille), from which S-shaped volutes and stylized acanthus leaves extend in both directions. The corner zones are decorated with floral scrolls continuing the overall dynamic of the decor. Historically, the development of large-scale carved frames in the 17th century was directly connected to the spread of mirrors produced by Flemish and French manufactories, when mirror glass became an independent and costly work of art requiring massive architectural framing.
