The rectangular frame «Celtic pattern» (model 6224) is a geometrically balanced structure featuring an ornamental relief formed by continuous braided bands, knots, and stylized loops characteristic of the medieval insular art of the British Isles. The frame profile is symmetrical, with corner joints emphasized by coordinated pattern interlacements that transition continuously along the perimeter without breaks. Historically, Celtic ornamental motifs, symbolizing infinity and the continuity of the life path, became widespread in framing during the Victorian Celtic Revival period in the second half of the 19th century, when interest in the national identity of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales led to the standardization of such geometric patterns in architectural decor and interior design. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
The digital 3D model is provided in STL format and optimized for milling on CNC machines. The relief is adapted for machining solid wood, MDF, or model board while preserving the high detail of the interlacing elements. The preparation of toolpaths (UP) for equipment operating under control systems such as Mach3 can be performed in specialized software environments such as ArtCAM or NC Studio, allowing for the calculation of tool trajectories and processing time.
