Rectangular frame «Rocale» (model 6247) STL

The rectangular frame «Rocaille» (Model 6247) is executed in the Rococo style. The composition is based on asymmetric and symmetric fluid forms featuring C- and S-scrolls, rocaillement motifs, and botanical elements including stylized acanthus leaves and floral garlands. The crest and the bottom rail are decorated with prominent central cartouches surrounded by dense relief ornamentation. During the reign of Louis XV, mirrors in such carved gilt frames became a dominant element of interior decoration in French townhouses, typically placed above fireplaces and opposite windows to visually expand the space and multiply the light. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
