Rectangular frame «Rocale» (model 6271) STL

The rectangular frame model 6271 is executed in the Rococo style. The composition features asymmetric rocaille scrolls, volutes, acanthus leaves, and floral garlands. The cresting is decorated with an elaborate central cartouche flanked by plant motifs, the lateral sides incorporate symmetrically arranged bird figures with spread wings, and the lower section terminates in a console element with a shell motif. During the reign of Louis XV, mirrors in such carved frames became a primary interior element in French salons, positioned predominantly above mantelpieces to visually expand space and reflect candlelight. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
