Rectangular frame «Rocale» (model 6273) STL

The rectangular frame «Rocaille» (Model 6273) is a relief composition in the Rococo style. The frame profile is symmetrical, featuring accented central parts and corners. The upper and lower headers are decorated with symmetrical cartouches featuring rocailles, surrounded by asymmetric volutes and stylized acanthus leaves. The lateral sides are decorated with floral garlands and scrolls transitioning into corner elements. Historically, Rococo frames became widespread in France during the reign of Louis XV, when the asymmetric rocaille ornament, imitating seashells and sea foam, became the dominant motif in the decoration of interiors, fireplaces, and mirrors. The appearance of large mirrors in carved wooden frames covered with gold leaf allowed for the visual expansion of French salon interiors. The model is designed for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
