Square frame "Braid" (model 6071) STL

The square frame features a profile decorated with a volumetric ornament composed of interwoven cords or ropes simulating a complex braid. The upper and lower sections of the frame are symmetrical with no distinct corner elements, and the relief is formed by a continuous intersection of convex strands along the entire perimeter of the molding. The guilloche or braided motif has been utilized in European architecture and decorative arts since antiquity; during the Neoclassical and Empire periods, such motifs symbolized strength and unity, frequently incorporating rope and knot designs popularized in the interior decoration of maritime offices and ship cabins in the 18th and 19th centuries.
