Square frame «Rococo» (Model 6198) features a square outer contour and an oval central opening framed by a molded band with an egg-and-dart ornament. The corners and central sections of the sides are filled with asymmetrical rocaille elements, volutes, acanthus scrolls, and stylized cartouches. The top and bottom compositions feature central shell motifs, while the corner zones incorporate relief mascarons depicting putti faces surrounded by foliage. During the reign of Louis XV, Rococo frames were predominantly carved from wood and gilded, utilizing asymmetry to visually dissolve the rigid geometric boundaries of the molding within the interiors of French townhouses and salons. The model is intended for framing wall mirrors, paintings, tapestries, portraits, and creating accent interior elements.
