The composition of the relief is based on a multi-planar combination of marine attributes: a ship's helm and a vertically oriented anchor are located in the background, while in the foreground they are densely entwined with the tentacles of an octopus, creating a pronounced volume and dynamics due to protruding elements. There is no frame (baguette) in this model, the composition has an independent outline. The image of an octopus in maritime symbolism is traditionally associated with the uncharted depths of the ocean and the protection of ships from sea monsters in the legends of northern peoples.
