"Fisherman and Mermaid in a Boat" (Model 2016) STL

In the foreground of the relief, a fisherman with a pipe smoking tobacco and holding a mug of beer is depicted in a boat together with a mermaid touching the mug with her hand. The middle ground features elements of the aquatic environment, reeds, and a barrel, while the background shows silhouettes of a coastal castle and a tower. The composition is enclosed within a rectangular smooth frame with a double molding. In European mythology, mermaids often served as ambivalent characters capable of both assisting fishermen and luring them into underwater depths.
