Meelon "Warrior kills the dragon" (Model 5590) STL

The round relief "Warrior kills the dragon" is built on a contrast between dynamic planes and a closed composition. The foreground depicts a horseman striking a coiled chthonic serpent with a pike. The figure of the warrior and the defeated dragon are placed inside a central medallion bordered by a circular band with Old Church Slavonic inscriptions. The outer contour of the panel is designed as a stylized solar disk with radiating flames. In Christian iconography, this subject is traditionally associated with the image of Saint George overcoming evil, although in earlier pagan traditions similar motifs symbolized the victory of light over darkness and the change of seasons. The panel is suitable for interior design of studies, libraries, halls, and residential spaces.
