The composition of the relief is based on a multi-plane narrative without a framing baguette, where the foreground depicts a knight in full armor on horseback, accompanied by foot soldiers and allegorical figures. The middle ground is filled with rocky relief and vegetation elements, while the background shows the silhouettes of a castle and a detailed landscape. The plot refers to Albrecht Dürer's famous engraving 'Knight, Death and the Devil' (1513), where the knight of Christian stoicism marches through the allegories of temptations and the fragility of existence, as indicated by the presence of a skull in the lower left corner and the figure of death with an hourglass.
