Panel "The Guslar and the Warriors at a Rest" (Model 5262) STL

The rectangular relief panel depicts a resting military unit under a spreading tree against a forest landscape. In the foreground at the center, an elderly guslar with an instrument is seated, surrounded by armed warriors in chainmail with a campfire, shields, and swords at their feet; the entire composition is framed by an ornamented border with geometric meander patterns and solar signs in the corners. Historically, guslars in Ancient Russia performed not only entertaining songs but also served as chroniclers and narrators preserving the oral history of military campaigns. The panel is utilized for decorating studies, libraries, and thematic halls.
