In the foreground of the relief, the figure of Eve holding an apple and a large reptile moving along a tree trunk are depicted. The middle ground is formed by a massive tree trunk and dense foliage of the Eden garden framing the central figures. The background of the relief is recessed, and a framing border (baguette) is absent in this composition. In Christian iconography, the lizard often acts as an allegory of cunning and temptation, foreshadowing the Fall of Man. Suitable for decorating studies, living rooms, libraries, and thematic halls.
