Icon "Healer Panteleimon" (Model 809) STL

The Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon lived at the turn of the 3rd and 4th centuries in Nicomedia and suffered martyrdom for the Christian faith during the persecutions of Emperor Maximian. Being a skilled physician, he healed the suffering in the name of Christ without demanding payment, earning the name of the All-Merciful. In iconography, the saint is traditionally depicted holding a medical spoon and a small medicine box, emphasizing his ministry of healing. In the Orthodox tradition, believers pray before this image for physical and spiritual recovery, deliverance from severe illnesses, and the strengthening of faith during times of trial.
