Icon "Holy Irina" (Model 911) STL

The icon depicts Great Martyr Irene of Macedon, who lived in the 1st century and became one of the first women to openly suffer for the Christian faith. According to hagiography, the daughter of ruler Licinius was baptized by the disciples of the Apostle Paul and endured severe persecution while converting tens of thousands of pagans to Christ. Traditionally, the saint holds a cross in her right hand as a symbol of victory over death and spiritual steadfastness. Believers pray before this image for courage in trials, the strengthening of faith, healing from serious illnesses, and protection from enemies.
