Blessed Ksenia of St. Petersburg (18th century) is one of the most revered Russian saints who undertook the arduous and rare feat of fool-for-Christ's sake following the sudden death of her husband. Having given away her possessions and home, she wandered the streets of St. Petersburg, silently offering unceasing prayer for the entire city. In iconography, her image traditionally signifies spiritual resilience, comfort in affliction, and assistance in worldly needs. Believers pray to her for family well-being, healing from ailments, and protection during difficult life circumstances.
