Icon "Mother of God of Kazan" (Model 731) STL

The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is one of the most revered Marian images in the Russian Orthodox Church, belonging to the Hodegetria iconographic type. The appearance of the original prototype took place in Kazan in 1579 following a devastating fire. The icon depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus Christ standing to her left and blessing the faithful. This compositional type emphasizes the royal dignity of Christ and foreshadows his ultimate sacrifice. Traditionally, believers pray before the Kazan image for healing from eye afflictions, deliverance from foreign invasions, the protection of the family hearth, and during moments of severe life trials and spiritual grief.

The presented digital 3D model is designed for producing relief carvings on CNC machines. The STL file contains finely detailed geometry of the icon and its ornamented shrine, intended for high-precision layer-by-layer milling in wood, stone, or polymers. The project is adapted for use in specialized CAM software and is compatible with modern equipment.
