Icon "Virgin of Ostrobramskaya" (Model 723) STL

The Our Lady of Ostra Brama icon is one of the most venerated Christian images, with a history originating in the 16th century. The icon depicts the Virgin Mary at the moment of the Annunciation, with her head bowed and arms crossed on her chest in an X-shape, without the Christ Child. The original image is housed in Vilnius above the Sharp Gate of the city wall. In both Orthodox and Catholic traditions, the faithful pray before this icon to protect their families from misfortune, pacify strife, heal serious spiritual and physical ailments, and grant peace.
