The Igorev Icon of the Mother of God is a venerated example of early Russian iconography historically linked to the tragic events of the 12th century. The image received its name from Grand Duke Igor Olgovich of Kiev, who fervently prayed before it in the final moments of his life prior to his martyrdom in 1147, after which he was canonized by the Church as a passion-bearer. Iconographically, the type is close to Eleusa (Tenderness), depicting the Mother of God in prayerful intercession for humanity. Believers turn to this icon seeking spiritual peace, protection from oppression, strength during severe life trials, and the resolution of enmity.
This digital 3D model is a frameless relief sculpture designed for CNC machines. The STL file is optimized for precision milling in wood or other materials, enabling the production of accurate replicas for church decoration and private collections.
