Panel "Archangel" (Model 736) STL

The image of the archangel originates from the early Christian tradition of venerating the incorporeal heavenly powers, the theological comprehension of which took shape in Byzantium by the 4th–5th centuries. In Orthodox iconography, archangels are depicted as messengers of the divine will, protectors, and intercessors before the throne of the Almighty. This composition presents the figure of an angel with hands raised in a gesture of prayer or intercession, surrounded by intricate baroque floral ornamentation symbolizing the Garden of Eden. Traditionally, believers offer prayers before such images for protection against visible and invisible enemies, for the strengthening of spiritual forces, and for safeguarding their homes and loved ones from misfortune.
