The icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" holds a special place in Orthodox iconography. The first veneration of this type occurred in Moscow in 1688 following the miraculous healing of Patriarch Joachim's sister. The icon depicts the Holy Theotokos surrounded by people afflicted with various sorrows and ailments, accompanied by angels performing acts of mercy at her command. The image of Christ the Saviour is traditionally placed at the top. Believers turn to this icon with prayers for comfort during mental and physical suffering, illnesses, and severe life trials, as well as for the grace of patience and spiritual strength.
This digital 3D model is designed for producing relief carvings on CNC machines. The file is optimized for processing in specialized CAM software and subsequent precise milling of the relief from wood or other materials. The finalized STL model accurately translates all the traditional iconographic details into a physical object suitable for Orthodox churches and home icon cases.
