Badge "Biological protection" (Model 3604) is a volumetric relief element based on the classic international biological hazard symbol, formed by three crossed semicircles with a central circle. The composition integrates a stylized image of a skull in a gas mask with lateral filter elements, and a suspension loop is provided at the top. The biohazard symbol itself was developed in 1966 by Dow Chemical engineers for labeling containers with hazardous materials and was intentionally designed to be highly visible and memorable yet meaningless in terms of existing associations to prevent misinterpretation.
