Icon "Xenia of St. Petersburg" (Model 564) STL

Blessed Xenia of Petersburg is one of the most revered Russian saints, whose feat of foolishness for Christ unfolded on the streets of Saint Petersburg in the second half of the 18th century. Following the sudden death of her husband, court singer Andrei Petrov, the young noblewoman distributed her property to the poor and embraced the cross of voluntary madness, praying for her spouse's soul and comforting the afflicted. In the Orthodox tradition, the faithful pray before her icon for family well-being, healing from illnesses, assistance in finding housing, and overcoming severe life hardships.
